This si just the beginning...

Travelling, living in several countries, and meeting people from various cultures and races shaped my personality, my mind, and my approach to life. Originally, I am from the Czech Republic (Czechia). I was born there and I have spent there most of my life. Beside this small country, which is sometimes called the heart of Europe, I have lived (spent from 2 months to 2 years) in US, UK, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Zambia, and South Africa. Besides this I traveled through many other countries such as Morocco, Senegal, Botswana, UAE, Oman, Turkey, and most of the European countries.

Except the touristic purpose, my journeys were often connected with activities such as studying, working, volunteering, teaching, undertaking research and data collection, or visiting my local friends. Of course, many of my journeys were mainly focused on traveling itself and exploring new places and adventures.

More about me...

Hi, I’m Pavel Šuba from Czechia, as mentioned above. Furthermore, I’m married, but this marriage isn’t an ordinary one - what I mean, it is a kind of exotic marriage confirmed by three weddings and few more legal arrangements. (Be sure to find here a detailed post about this topic.) My wife and I have two small boys.

Anyway, I never really knew what I wanted to do in my life but I was making decisions one by one and I’m still moving forward. So, after completing secondary school, which main focus was pedagogy and psychology, I graduated with a bachelor and later master degree in Tourism and Outdoor studies at Palacky University in Olomouc, Czechia. After that, I decided to continue in an academic carrier and applied for a PhD program. During the process of acquiring the PhD title, I have learnt a lot and gained many precious experiences. After few years and few mental battles, I decided to quit without earning the title. While I was still at the PhD program, I was teaching ESL and PE in a primary school and lecturing two subjects related to tourism at the university. It was also a great experience. In total, I spent 14 years enrolled at the university, while which I got quite a lot of opportunities to travel and live in various countries as mentioned earlier. BTW time spent abroad was the best part of my studies.

I take my life as one big journey which is constantly surprising me with new horizons and placing myself on original life junctions, where it is necessary to choose another direction. It is exciting, challenging but also tiring and scary.

I have faced lots of different life situations and have worked on various projects, which gave me a good base for providing inspiring, guiding, and helpful information for you.

To conclude this brief introduction: Travelling, exploring, vibrant cultures, adventures, learning and transferring knowledge, admiring, facing challenges, solving problems, as well as enjoying life are terms deeply connected with myself.
